Benidorm, in Spain, is the ideal choice for family friendly holiday in the sun. Alongside the usual tourist attractions, this coastal resort boasts over six kilometres of stunning beaches that some claim are among the best in Europe. However, what sets Benidorm apart from other Mediterranean destinations of its calibre are the number and quality of its inland amenities and activities and the plethora of good quality and cheap Benidorm hotels.

From Poniente Beach in the west to Levante Beach in the east, Benidorm’s luxurious stretch of coast is perfect for families. Benidorm provides safety with its good number of lifeguard patrols and its waters are regularly rated for blue flag bathing. Temperatures in the area rarely drop below 18 degrees C making Benidorm a good choice for year round holidaying. With such wonderful weather, the only thing you and your family will have to worry about is whether you want to spend the day sunbathing, parasailing, wind surfing, scuba diving, boating, or water skiing at the impressive cable park.

There is always something exciting to do in the town, so after checking into one of the many cheap hotels prepare for a good time. Terra Mitica Fun Park, which is in fact Europe’s largest theme park, is a popular place to go. However, on warmer days, Aqualandia, the town’s most thrilling water park, is a better choice. For those looking for less thrills but just as much fun, there are numerous wildlife parks, including Terra Natura and Mundomar, which encourage direct interaction with the animals.

Another natural option that also provides panoramic views of Benidorm and the sea from its hilltop perch is Cactuslandia, a large cactus garden and natural history museum. For some retail therapy, there are also many wonderful flea markets in Benidorm with nearly everything you could imagine on sale, including the Benidorm Outdoor Market and El Cisne Flea Market.

With so much on offer, from over 1,000 restaurants, 800 bars and 41,000 hotel beds, you could fill your holiday with activities many times over just in the city itself. But there is more to see in the surrounding area if you fancy a day trip to explore sights such as Algar Falls and the Canelobre Caves. Meanwhile, the famous ‘Green Tour’ company organises free environmentally focused day trips all over the Costa Blanca. If you are in need of a good time just book a flight, take your pick from one of the many great Benidorm hotels, and visit this value holiday dream destination soon.
